- Found code P0420 for cat converter efficiency bank 1 and code P3400 for variable position oil switch stuck off bank 1. Found bank 1 (firewall side) cat converter to be bad for code P0420. Found variable timing spool valve with oil pressure switch built in to be bad for code P3400. Recommend remove and replace bank 1 spool valve, bank 1 (firewall side) cat converter and oxygen sensor before and after bank 1 cat due to age, clear check engine light and road test the vehicle. Permanent codes have cleared and all monitors have ran including cat converter.
- Haz disposal fee
- Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Preform basic safety inspection. Road test vehicle.
- CATALYTIC CONVERTER – Remove & Replace – Rear,(w/Exhaust Manifold),at Rear of Engine
- VARIABLE VALVE TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE SOLENOID – Remove & Replace – Rear
- SERPENTINE BELT TENSIONER & BELT- Remove & Replace
